Pricing, payment and API keys
Prosp is paid in credits. One discovery job costs 100 credits, whichever way you start it: the REST API, ChatGPT or Claude over MCP, or the Telegram bot. Reading results, statuses, your balance and your ledger costs nothing.
Credit packages
Credits are bought in the Telegram bot @prosp_mcp_credits_bot
with /buy, paid with Telegram Stars.

The introductory Starter grant is temporary. The package list in /buy always shows the current
price and grant, and the Stars invoice states the credits you will receive before you pay.
Step by step: from nothing to your first discovery
- Open the bot. Open @prosp_mcp_credits_bot in Telegram
and send
/start. This creates your account. - Buy credits. Send
/buy, pick a package and pay with Stars./balanceshows the credits. - Pick how you will work:
- REST API: send
/credentials. The bot returns a Client ID and a Client Secret, the base URL and a link to the docs. Exchange them for a Bearer token with the OAuth2 client-credentials grant, then callPOST /api/v1/discoveries. See the API reference. - ChatGPT or Claude (MCP): send/connect. It walks you through adding the Prosp MCP server to your assistant and signing in. See MCP. - Only Telegram: send/findand describe the companies you want. See Telegram. - Optional, once: send
/profilewith what your business sells and its website. Prosp then warns before a search when the target companies do not fit what you sell, and writes outreach text from that profile. It does not change which companies a search returns.
What you are charged for
- A discovery job is debited 100 credits when it starts.
- Every debit and every refund is listed, with its job:
/ledgerin the bot, orget_credit_ledgerover MCP. - Cancelling a running job refunds its credits only when nothing had been delivered at the moment of the cancel.
- A request rejected by a rate limit (HTTP 429) is refused before any debit, so it never costs you credits.
Keys and safety
- Keep the Client Secret secret: anyone holding it can spend your credits.
- The MCP sign-in is a normal OAuth sign-in in your assistant; you never paste the secret into a chat.
